FilmingLifer PROs are the best of the best, the filmmakers to watch, the people who are working hard every day to produce the BEST family films in the industry.
Each FilmingLifer Pro must submit a portfolio of FOUR FILMS that demonstrate a professional standard of work across a range of areas including Artistic Voice, Narrative Storytelling, Audio Excellence, Visual Mastery, and Emotional Impact & Polish.
As well as all of the benefits of being a FilmingLifer, FilmingLifer PROs also gain exclusive access to a low monthly membership rate to the FilmingLife® Academy ($40/m), a private group just for Pros, and additional leadership opportunities in exchange for membership fees at FilmingLife®.
Who Can Apply?
Anyone who has ever been a member of FilmingLife® for at least 12 months can apply for FilmingLifer Pro.
FilmingLifer Pro Benefits:
WEBSITE BADGE: Upon passing the assessment, you'll be able to download the badge that you can add to your website. If you add this badge to your website, it would be great to link it to filminglifeacademy.com to give context to your accomplishment!
LOWER MEMBERSHIP PAYMENT: Once you've passed the pro assessment, we will change your membership payment to $40/m within seven days of submission (unless you are already on a lower monthly payment, in which case your monthly subscription will not change).
LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: Pro's are invited to apply for leadership opportunities at FilmingLife®. Pro's who are involved in leadership roles (through the ArtHouse or by offering to help in other ways) will have their full membership waived in exchange for their volunteer hours.
PRIVATE GROUP: You'll be added to a private group exclusively for FilmingLifer Pros.

Film Submission Requirements
Duration & Timing
Submit 4 films for review
Length: 2-10 minutes per film
Films must have been created within the last 6 months
Submit all films simultaneously through the application
Content Requirements
At least one film must demonstrate dialogue or interview content
At least one film must showcase dynamic camera movement, such as:
Smooth tracking shots following subjects
Purposeful handheld sequences
Creative transitions through movement
Varied shot types & movements
Intentional focus pulls
Films should represent different subjects or events
No material created for educational assignments
Submission Format
Provide Vimeo or YouTube links for each film
Ensure links are set to allow full viewing access
Links must remain active throughout the review period (6 weeks)
Minimum resolution: 1920x1080
Clean audio levels (-12db to -6db peak)

Each application is require to pay a fee to cover administrative costs of processing the application. Upon adding to your cart, you will be prompted to fill in a form with your 4 film links and descriptions. It’s a good idea to write all this out in a document first and then copy / paste into the form. This way you don’t lose any of your writing in case you experience internet / technical issues.
