VOICE Showcase | FilmingLife® ArtHouse Film Project
The Term 3 2025 theme for our ArtHouse Film Project was led by FilmingLifer PRO Lindsey DeCicco and encouraged our members to use their voice (or their client’s voice) to elevate the emotion in their films and enhance their ability to craft a story in a more powerful way. By challenging members to practice using words in their filmmaking they’ll take their storytelling skill to another level.
Our ArtHouse themes are chosen to give members the opportunity to try a new skill or technique, the space to refine or try out an idea they’ve been playing with, or provide inspiration and encouragement to create personal films outside of client work or experiment with new techniques in their client films.
The goal of the ArtHouse is that members will add tools to their tool belt that will have them feeling more confident and accomplished in their filmmaking.
There were two levels for our VOICE theme for our members to choose from - for level 1 films we asked members to create a film that included a voiceover element. For members making a level 2 film, we asked members them to create a short client, branding or business film with a voiceover.
As always the films that were submitted & created by our members were just amazing, and we’re so pleased to present them to you today…
The Educator’s Choice Award is chosen by the Lead Educator of the film project as those that fully embody the spirit of the FilmingLife® ArtHouse, and are noted for their storytelling, creativity and unique interpretation of the theme.
Level 1 Winner - Kristine Esposito
What Lindsey said about Kristine’s film -
” I chose Kristine’s film because it took such intention to put together this personal film. She had to dig deep to find the memories and write one of her own legacy stories for her family, and then source and film footage to make sure that the story would visually work as well. It was so well put together and now the story of her special heirloom is persevered for her entire family. It made me weep and truly feel her love for her great grandmother.”

Level 2 Winner - Julia Xanthos Liddy
What Lindsey said about Julia’s film -
”Julia’s submission was a masterpiece in brand storytelling. Using the owners voice, asking questions that pulled out so much emotion, and expertly weaving this story together with the exactly correct pacing and clip placement over the audio made this piece shine.”

Emily Halifax
What Lindsey said about Emily’s film -
”I just LOVED the Real World throw back in Emily’s film. I was grinning like an idiot from the first sentence. Getting the kids involved + 90’s nostalgia = a real good time!”
